Activities
Keeping our residents stimulated
We aim to enhance the quality of life for all service users by encouraging them to pursue activities of interest to them.
We have an activities co-ordinator within the home who carries out a variety of activities. These activities include bingo, karaoke, hoopla, reminiscence and crafts such as card making and gardening.
We arrange regular outings for service users to locations such as the Black Country Museum, the local public house for lunch, Stourbridge and Kingswinford Town Centres.
We celebrate events throughout the year such as birthdays, Christmas, Easter and Halloween. We arrange a fireworks display in the garden for Halloween and bonfire night. Family and friends are always welcome to attend and participate in celebrations and events.
Personal service providers make regular visits to the home. A hairdresser visits weekly and service users benefit from the mobile library that visits every 6 weeks.
A fitness expert attends fortnightly to encourage service users to participate in gentle exercise.
An organist visits on a monthly basis. We hold a monthly church service in our communal lounge. We also have regular visits from the local chiropodist and dentist.
